When I was attending broadcasting school in Philadelphia an instructor named John Watson said “Failing gets you one step closer to success” I thought failing made me a failure until I realized failing had a lot of benefits. It made me stronger, wiser, more confident and ultimately more successful.
Instead of getting down on myself if a radio show or live appearance didn’t go as planned, I reflected on what I could have done better. Did I practice my script, was I focused or did I assume everything was going to work out?
