The pro football career of Michael Vick has come full circle. The Newport News native who starred at Virginia Tech, has agreed with the Philadelphia Eagles on a new $100 million contract that also guarantees him some $40 million up front. The story is amazing when you think of how Vick’s career started in Atlanta, he was the toast of the NFL QB’s until the dogfighting charges came about. Despite the conviction and a two-year stay in prison, Vick has returned to the NFL on a mission, not only to repair his image and return to the field, but to again be the league’s most exciting quarterback. And now, he is again one of the league’s highest paid players, so I would venture to say: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
