Things got mildly heated on the OWN show Chad Loves Michelle. Michelle Willams and her fiancé Chad Johnson were talking to their counselor about communication. The couple said they had a disagreement the night before.
Williams said, “I said something to him on the lines of ‘Well, Chad, because you are not Black you would not understand why I communicate the way I do. Maybe because you didn’t grow up around a lot of Black people.’ So, that was very, very offensive to Chad.”
Johnson fired back questioning her mental health. He asked Michelle if she was on her meds that day. Chad apologized for what he said. Ouch! Do you know of an interracial couple that has problems because perceived cultural differences? What has been the biggest issue?
