After being job shamed for working at Trader Joe’s, actor Geoffrey Owens is now getting plenty of work. He’s just landed another part and this time it’s on the show ‘NCIS: New Orleans.’

Owens will be playing Commander Adams, a person who Pride(Scott Bakula) goes to for medical and spiritual advice.

“For Commander Adams, we needed someone with compassion, competence, and heart,” said executive producer Christopher Silver. “That’s Geoffrey in a nutshell.”

Earlier, Owens also accepted a recurring role in Tyler Perry’s hit series, ‘The Haves and the Have Nots.’ Life after Trader Joe’s is looking good right now for the actor.

Do you think that he’s getting these roles now out of sympathy? Have you ever been job shamed? What’s the hardest part of finding a new job?
