Richmond City Council is taking money from one fund to balance the city budget. Council members voted yesterday to take about two-point-one-million-dollars from the fund to pay for projects like paving streets and fixing local playgrounds. The art fund, which the city uses to commission local projects, will now be down to about a million dollars. The mayor’s most recent budget for the next fiscal year didn’t include any art projects.
