According to a recent city audit report, it was announced on Thursday that multiple businesses have been cited for not paying admission taxes.
The Hippodrome, Johnson Inc., Military Retirees Club, Facejay LLC, Charles Willis and now-defunct nightclub Vanquish were cited for failing to remit admissions taxes which are assessed at 7 percent of the cost of a ticket.
The allegations are a result of an anonymous tip about the dealings of the businesses resulting in owed taxes over a 5 year period.
