Apple has been tied up in a patent infringement court case since 2012 over their trademark apps like iMessage and Facetime, but owes major money to patent company VirnetX (VHC) after a jury award damages to the tune of $626 million!!!
VirnetX (VHC) does only one thing, license patents to other firms and suing companies who infringe on their property. VirnetX (VHC) sued Apple over four of it’s patents which focused on real-time internet communications.
