Jay-Z will testify in the infringement case against him and Timbaland for one of their biggest hits ” Big Pimpin.”
The sample that’s being disputed is Baligh Hamdy’s “Khosara, Khosara,” which is the driving sound of the rapper’s huge hit.
Timbaland admitted to using the sample under the impression that it was public domain. After finding out it wasn’t, he paid $100,000 to EMI for the rights to the sample but that didn’t work.
