“We must also remember this weekend the voting act has been undercut. Now the Supreme Court has taken out section 4. They can change it without pre-clearing the justice department. As we mach and celebrate and commemorate, let us be mindful that Selma has been reenacted. They cannot celebrate the marches of 50 years ago and not deal with the ones standing up today,” Sharpton said.
