L.A. Lakers coach Mike Brown has been fired after a horrible 1-4 start to the season. It is not known yet who will take over, but a source indicated that one of assistant coaches Bernie Bickerstaff or Chuck Person will take over on an interim basis.
Update: Late Sunday, the Lakers organization shocked the NBA world by hiring former coach of the Suns and Knicks, Mike D’Antoni over fan favorite Phil Jackson. D’Antoni agreed to a three-year deal worth $12 million, with a team option for a fourth season.
