Fans waiting to see The Munsters back on television will have to wait even longer.
NBC is taking the hourlong pilot, based on the original 1964 TV series, out of the running for the fall 2012 TV schedule to give it extra attention, reports Variety.
Recently renamed Mockingbird Lane, the pilot was ordered in November. Production on the pilot has now been moved to this summer summer, which means the pilot may still appear midseason of next year. NBC felt the project needed more time to assemble the right cast and set design, according to Variety.
