For we Virginia State University alums who came out in the cold, windy, and rainy weather on Saturday, the Trojans did not disappoint.  Even mother nature decided enough was enough around halftime and it actually turned into a fairly nice, but chilly Homecoming on the Hill, highlighted by State’s 39-14 win over arch-rival Virginia Union.  The victory locks VSU into a @nd-place finish in the CIAA Northern Division behind Elizabeth City.  It was the third and final home game of the season for the Trojans, who conclude the 2011 schedule on Thursday evening at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina.  Virginia Union began the season strong but ran out of steam mid-way through the season.  The Panthers will finish up the year next week at Fayetteville State.  Sorry, no cigar, but a nice season for the Men of Troy and a Happy Homecoming.  And that’s what’s up!
