With season-opening routs under their belts, both Virginia Tech and UVA will face bigger challenges this weekend as both will hit the road against stronger opponents. The Cavaliers travel to Bloomington for a date with the Hoosiers of Indiana U. The Hokies head to Greenville, NC to face the Pirates of East Carolina University. A HUGE opening win for the University of Richmond last Saturday at Duke, and the Spiders come home with new head coach Wayne Lineburg to take on Wagner here in Richmond. Across town, the undefeated Virginia Union University Panthers, who are also un-scored-upon, will host CIAA rival Winston-Salem State at Hovey Field, while the Trojans of Virginia State visit West Virginia State. At Hampton University, the Pirates come home from Saturday’s win in Chicago to entertain the Rattlers of Florida A & M, and Norfolk State steps into the major league with a date in Morgantown vs. the Mountaineers of West Virginia University.
