          Ashland native and former Patriots & Jets star Damien Woody, who was a standout in his days at Patrick Henry HS, recently retired from the NFL after playng 12 seasons with the New England Patriots and the New York Jets.  Woody, whose wife Nicole is expecting a 7th child soon, could easily just chill & spend time with family, but Damien is now working for ESPN.  Caught his act today on the network’s “First Take” segment.  Woody says before the lockout, he was all set and had every intention of suiting-up for a 13th season, then ESPN called, and he begasn to rethink his options.  Woody and TE Erron Kinney, who also played in the NFL, led Patrick Henry to the ’94 state title.  VA is always representin’!  You go Damien……
