Fittest First Lady Ever! Michelle Obama Does Impressive Push-Ups With Ellen Degeneres [VIDEO]

First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) Michelle Obama has been touring California promoting her health agenda, so when she was challenged to a push-up contest on a TV show, she quickly dropped to the floor to prove she practiced what she preached.

The challenge was prompted when daytime TV host Ellen DeGeneres asked the First Lady, “How many push-ups can you do? Because I like to do push-ups.”

First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) Michelle Obama appeared on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Tuesday night and cajoled Jay Leno into nibbling on some fruit, breaking his long-held aversion for all-things-healthy in his diet.

Leno once told a magazine he hadn’t eaten a vegetable since 1969, and he told the First Lady he gave up apples in 1984.

UPDATE: First Lady Michelle Obama Appears at BET Honors Awards

First Lady Michelle Obama took the stage at the BET Honors awards ceremony Saturday with poet Maya Angelou, performers Stevie Wonder and Mariah Carey, and other African American celebrities who called the black community to civic action, starting with voting in the 2012 presidential election.

The program will air on the network on Feb. 13, with actress Gabrielle Union as the evening’s host.

First Lady Michelle Obama ‘Random Dances’ at Northern Virginia School

They called it “random dancing” but First Lady Michelle Obama broke out some moves that resembled subdued variations of “the Monkey” or “the Jerk” Friday during an appearance at a northern Virginia high school.

A screaming, raucous auditorium filled with elementary and middle school students greeted Obama and the cast of the Nickelodeon TV show “iCarly” at Hayfield Secondary School in Fairfax County.

After three years in the White House, First Lady Michelle Obama has decided to join Twitter.

Thursday, the First Lady’s office announced that Mrs. Obama will be tweeting this year as she gears up to help her husband win re-election this November.

“We’re excited today to launch @michelleobama as a new way for you to connect with First Lady Michelle Obama and the President’s campaign,” her account read.
