Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL has denied an appeal by the New Orleans Saints in reference to the “Bounty-Gate” scandal that rocked the post-season leading to the suspensions of head coach Sean Payton and former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. The ruling also upheld the punishments handed out with Payton gone for the 2012 season and Williams on an indefinite vacation.

New York Jets QB Tim Tebow has already proven he can draw fans to a football game, but on Easter Sunday, Tebow drew some 15,000 people to an outdoor church service in Georgetown, Texas, where he told the audience that it’s important to be outspoken about faith and that pro athletes should practice being better role models.

It’s a known fact that the Washington Redskins plan to select Baylor QB Robert Griffin III with the 2nd pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. It’s what the ‘Skins do with the rest of their selections that will determine if the team will see a big turnaround in 2012. Word is Washington has it’s eyes focused on CB dwight Bentley of Louisiana-Layfayette. Bentley played in this year’s Senior Bowl under Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett, who likes his coverage skills and tackling ability.
