Singer/Actress Jennifer Hudson’s fiance and WWE superstar David Otunga made a brief return to his previous career last week – attorney-at-law.
Otunga returned to court Thursday morning to represent a man who believes he was wrongfully terminated and denied unemployment benefits. Otunga was representing the man in his appeal to the NY State Department of Labor, reports TMZ.
The proceedings took place before an administrative judge who heard witness testimony and arguments from both sides.
The Harvard Law School grad said he “smoked the witness during cross examination.” Otunga’s client won the appeal and will now get unemployment benefits.
Otunga, who took the case pro bono, says he enjoys keeping his legal skills sharp and said it was a good warm-up for last weekend’s Royal Rumble.
