Well this didn’t take long. After an explosive report from the CBC and Toronto Star showing that Ticketmaster has been secretly operating its own ticket scalping program, a class-action lawsuit has been started against the company.

Ticketmaster has denied its existence, but the undercover Canadian reporters say they were approached by the company and shown how the scalping program works to inflate ticket prices.

The suit, which has been started by lead plaintiff Allen Lee, alleges, “Ticketmaster hasn’t wanted to rid itself of scalpers because, as it turns out, they have been working with them.”

Following the report, both US and Canadian lawmakers have stated they will be looking into the company’s practices as well.

Would you sign onto a class action suit? Should they start looking into the extra fees as well? What’s the most you’ve paid for a concert ticket?
