For the 1st time in 25 years, the voters of Alabama are sending a Democrat to the Senate seat after embattled Republican candidate Roy Moore was plagued with negative press for his past actions and sexual harassment allegations.

Democrat Doug Jones clinched the US Senate seat in Alabama in a special election to fill the seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Most are saying that this loss is devastating to President Trump and the possible cause was the appearance of Steve Bannon and his rhetoric.
