The Los Angeles Lakers have decided to part ways with coach Byron Scott after posting the worst record in Lakers history. Though Scott had one year left on his contract, the Lakers organization had the option to let him go. After just a 17 win season, it was a no brainer to fire Scott.
To Scott’s defense, there wasn’t much he could do with the huge Kobe Bryant contract taking up all the money with no way to lure new superstars to the table.
