John Singleton, best known for his directorial debut movie “Boyz N The Hood,” has worked in the past with Tupac and Janet Jackson on “Poetic Justice” and is the obvious choice to put together such a high profile movie on the life of the rapper, actor and outspoken character during the mid 90’s.

Tupac died Sept. 13th, 1996, six days after being gun down in Las Vegas, reportedly due to an earlier altercation between him and another crew in the lobby of MGM grand for the Mike Tyson – Bruce Seldon fight. His murder remains unsolved!
