The NFL’s 2013 season has five undefeated teams remaining going into Week 5, and strangely enough, all five, the Seattle Seahawks, the Denver Broncos, the New England Patriots, the New Orleans Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs are all on the road this weekend, and all of them are playing opponents who also have their eyes on the Super Bowl prize.  The Broncos look like the team to beat 4 weeks in as Peyton Manning has been nothing short of brilliant, but Denver plays the Cowboys in Dallas Sunday, a venue that has never been kind to the Mike High crew.  The Boys have their work cut out for them…..

Richmond’s Russell Wilson will lead his unbeaten Seahawks into Indianapolis to face Andrew Luck and the Colts, who are making a name for themselves this season.  Kansas City has benefited from Coach Andy Reid’s insight on the NFC East in beating the Giants, Cowboys, and Eagles, this weekend the Chiefs go into Tennessee hoping to secure win No. 5.  Tom Brady and the Patriots are coming off a gutsy win at Atlanta and now visit a mad Cincinatti Bengals squad this Sunday.  And the Saints go marching into the Windy City to play the Bears, who are no pushovers.  Five great games involving the top-tier teams going on this weekend in the NFL.

In Washington, it’s rest time for the Washington Football Team who picked up their first win of the season last week at Oakland.  While beating the Raiders is nothing to brag about this season, the Washington Football Team may find some motivation in the fact that after a dismal 0-3 season start, they are actually as in great a shape as any 0-3 team could be tied with Philly for 2nd place and only one game behind Dallas.  As the Cowboys face Denver, Washington could see a chance to get back in the division race next weekend when they travel to Big D.

In Tampa Bay, shockingly the Bucaneers benched their starter Josh Freeman, and then on Thursday, they released him outright.  Surely Freeman won’t be on the market long.  There are several teams still looking for a starter and talented backups.  Freeman went from the face of the franchise when drafted to an outcast on his own team all within three years. The Bucs are also off this weekend with a bye along with the winless Pittsbugh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings…..
