The Virginia Primary elections were held on Tuesday with a key race in the 63rd District as incumbent Delegate Roslyn Dance withstood a strong challenge from newcomer Evandra Thompson to win the Democratic nomination to reclaim her seat in the November gemeral election. Dance, who has served in the House of Delegates since 2005, won by some 270 votes, and hopes to be re-elected in November, although it is unclear at this time who her challenger will be from across the aisle.
