The defending world champion Miami Heat, who are battling the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Finals, showed why they are champions in the Heat’s 114 -96 clubbing of the Pacers in Game 3 on Monday night.  But a more aggressive effort from the Pacers in Game 4 produced a 99 -92 win for Indiana as Roy Hibbert owned the middle scoring 23 points to lead Indy to victory, which ties the series at 2 games apiece and gives the Pacers a new outlook as they prep for a return to South Beach on Thursday,  Surely the Heat had hoped to win so they could close out the series at home, but the champs will now have to make the journey back to Indianapolis for Game 6 this weekend.

The San Antonio Spurs again have proven time and time again that no matter the circumstances, this team knows how to win, and knows how to close out an opponent.   Been there, done that.   Going into Game 4 down 3 – 0,  the Memphis Grizzlies already had a tall task in battling the Spurs, clearly a team that is no stranger to these NBA Playoffs.   Monday night in Memphis, they had no answer for Tony Parker, and even if Elvis WAS in the building, that still wouldn’t have stopped Fan Antonio from sweeping the Griz and moving on to the NBA Finals to face either Miami or Indiana.   NBA history was not on Memphis’ side because no team has ever recovered from a 3 – 0 deficit, and with no one to consistently put the ball in the basket, that job is twice as difficult.  Spurs win the 2013 Western Conference title!
