A sudden twist in the George Zimmerman case as not only has Zimmerman been re-arrested, now his wife Shellie, briefly joined him behind the bars of the Seminole County jail in Florida after she was charged with perjury in the Trayvon Martin case. Shellie Zimmerman allegedly lied or attempted to mislead the court about the family’s monetary assets during a court proceeding in which George Zimmerman was attempting to get bail.
Seems the Zimmerman’s had raised over $135,000 through a pay-pal account which she never disclosed during the court proceeding. She was arrested, booked and released on a $1,000 bond for making false statements to the court. George Zimmerman is accused of killing Trayvon Martin on Febuary 26th after pursuing Martin as he walked home from a local 7-11. A national outrage ensued once the media got wind of the story and realized that Zimmerman was never arrested or charged with anything.
