Sony Pictures is developing a big screen adaptation of ‘The Equalizer’, and actor Denzel Washington is their first choice to play the lead role.
If you do not remember, ‘The Equalizer’ was an 80s TV series about a former secret agent of an unnamed organization, who tries to atone for past sins by offering, free of charge, his services as a troubleshooter, a protector, and an investigator. People in need would find him through a newspaper ad: “Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer. 212 555 4200”.
Denzel can next be seen on the big screen in new action thriller ‘Safe House’ with Ryan Reynolds.
When asked about Denzel’s performance, Reynolds said, “He’s very Method. He’s living, eating, breathing and sleeping his character. I have to always call him Frost and he calls me Matt. It’s adorable.”
