Are you ready for “The Fall Guy: The Movie”?

Deadline.com is reporting that director Martin Campbell (“Green Lantern,” “Casino Royale”) could take on the planned film. Which leads to the big question: There’s going to be a “Fall Guy” movie?

You might remember the 1981-1986 show, with Lee Majors as a stuntman-bounty hunter. Majors’ ex-wife Farrah Fawcett made a cameo in the pilot and was famously mentioned in the theme song.

But really? Remaking “The Fall Guy”? Apparently Hollywood figures that rather than make an original movie about a stuntman, they could coast on a TV title that’s familiar to those of us who were around in the ’80s.

Do fans really want movie studios to play with their retro memories?

By the way, Lee Majors sang his own classic theme song. Let’s see whoever they cast as the new star do that.
