Tyra Banks fantasy- fiction novel for young adults, “Modelland,” has landed in the No. 2 spot on the New York Times Best Seller List.
“Modelland” was released on Sept. 13, and follows a 15-year-old girl whose dream is to be a model. Her dreams become a reality when she receives an invitation to Modelland, but she quickly discovers that it is not at all what she expected it to be.
“Modelland” is the first novel in a three-part book series. There are talks that the series will be turned into a feature film.
Banks has made quite a name for herself since her days of being a Victoria Secrets model. She developed her own production company, Bankable Productions, had her own talk show and continues to give aspiring models a chance at fame with her hit creation, “America’s Next Top Model.”
And don’t foget about her days as an actress on, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and her role as Deja in “Higher Learning.”
Tyra also created the TZONE foundation, a non-profit that empowers girls and young women to live their dreams.
Now a Harvard Business school attendee, Tyra Banks can add “Best Selling Author” to her resume.
