Charlie Sheen will play the role of a therapist with a temper in a TV version of the 2003 comedy, ‘Anger Management.’

Sheen’s new TV show has been confirmed: he will reprise the role originated by Jack Nicholson in the 2003 comedy which also starred Adam Sandler.

In the movie, Nicholson plays an anger management instructor, Buddy, with a serious temper of his own. Sandler’s character, Dave, is a businessman who’s wrongly accused of “air rage” and sentenced to undergo therapy with Buddy — and foolishness ensue when Buddy interferes with his life.

Charlie Sheen’s character will be a counselor to inmates with anger management issues.

Before confirmation of his sitcom, Sheen dropped a few hints.

Although “Anger Management” got mixed reviews, it generated more than $133 million at the box office.
