Virginia lawmakers are speaking out about Governor Bob McDonnell’s decision to accept federal funds.  President Barack Obama signed a states aid bill last week and Virginia would receive a portion of the 26-billion dollars.  Delegate Bob Marshall, a republican, in his letter to the governor claimed that accepting the funds is a ”repudiation of fellow republicans” since the state’s GOP U.S. house members voted against the legislation. The McDonnell administration says the federal funding is strictly for local government.  Virginia’s portion of the federal funding is expected to save some 3800 teacher positions.
