The first presidential debate was declared a victory by political pundits for Republican Presidential Nominee Governor Mitt Romney. President Obama was focused and stayed on message but the American people wanted him to be more aggressive and not assertive. There are two more presidential debates scheduled for October 16 and 22.
The nation will be watching as the vice presidential debate airs Thursday, October 11, 2012 in Danville, Kentucky at Centre College. The debate will begin at 9 p.m. eastern and moderated by Martha Raddatz (ABC News Chief Foreign Correspondent). The topic is Foreign and Domestic Policy.
For Congressman Paul Ryan, he will have to build on Romney’s momentum from last week’s presidential debate. Ryan will have to double down on the role of government and thoroughly explain his conservative values and how they will be best for the American people.
For Vice President Joe Biden, he will have to stay on message but deliver the president’s message on security for the middle class, healthcare reform, tax cuts for all not just the rich and low interest pell grants. Biden will have to bring it all back and set the stage for President Obama at the October 16 presidential debate.
