Although he isn’t a household name in today’s music industry, by George, this guy is one of the greatest of all time. Not only one of the premiere jazz guitarists in the world, he’s a gifted vocalist who gave us great hits like “This Masquerade”, “Give Me The Night”, and the classic “Greatest Love Of All”, which probably connects more with the late Whitney Houston right now.
He appeared at the Hampton Jazz Festival two years ago and set the Hampton Coliseum on fire, and today we wish a Happy Birthday to the legendary George Benson. The Pittsburgh native turns 68 today, and he still sounds as great as ever. Happy Birthday George!
