We don’t normally cover high school games, mainly because there are so many of them, but rarely is there a 1-2 matchup. It went down at my alma mater VSU on Saturday night as 2nd-ranked Petersburg (also my alma mater) defeated No. 2 John Marshall 75-69 in the Bill Lawson Classic. Kudos to the Crimson Wave, 17-1, who ironically are ranked No. 1 in the state of Virginia. Hmmm. That’s strange.
