KISS – FM celebrates the birthdays of some of our favorite stars and public figures this week, starting with today’s honorees. Born on Monday, June 11th was Hall of Fame football great Joe Montana, who led the San Francisco 49ers to multiple Super Bowl titles. He turned 56 years old yesterday, coincidently sharing a birthday with the late legendary NFL coach Vince Lombardi.
On Tuesday, June 12th, Jazz musician Chick Corea turned 70 years old, while former President George Herbert Walker Bush (41st) celebrated his 88th birthday. On Wednesday, June 13th, a double-dip of ice cream and cake for the TV twins, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, they’ll be 25.
She played the unforgettable Florence the Maid on the old Tv sitcom “The Jeffersons”, and actress Marla Gibbs is definitely ‘Movin’ On Up’ as she turned 80 years old Thursday, June 14th. Former tennis star Steffi Graf was 42 and Culture Club lead singer Boy George celebrated his 50th on Thursday. Friday, June 15th, hip-hop recording artist and movie actor Ice Cube was 42 years old, and the film that opened the career door “Boyz In The Hood” is now 21 years old. Also, actor Jim Belushi shared that date for his 57th birthday.
Golf star Phil Mickelson, affectionately known as “Lefty”, celebrates his 41st birthday today, Saturday, June 16th, and the late hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur would have been the same age today as well, 41. This Sunday, June 17th marks the 31st birthday of tennis star Venus Williams, and singer/composer Barry Manilow turns 65 years old. Happy Birthday to them all from KISS-FM!
