A Republican lawmaker from Georgia, who was criticized last week for saying the Ku Klux Klan was not racist, has now withdrawn his name from several bills he sponsored to honor the Confederacy.

Richmond Public Schools is hosting the 21st Annual Martin Luther king, Jr. Drill Meet today at the Arthur Ashe Center. The meet started at 7am and will run until 5pm. Some 1,500 Junior ROTC Cadets from Richmond, new York and South Carolina will be competiting. It is free and open to the public.
