Happy National Hot Dog Day! Here’s Where to Find Delicious Dogs and Deals in Richmond

Traditionally celebrated on the third Wednesday in July, National Hot Dog Day is July 17 this year. Several restaurants are celebrating with specials and deals! 1. Ray’s Dog House – 401 N. 1st Street

This eatery offers hot dogs and toppings, as well as a hot dog egg and cheese.

The restaurant is open from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

2. The Dog House – 1400 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd

The Dog House has a wide variety of fun foods, including a “Frito Chili Pie,” which features homemade chili, cheese, onions and crumbled Frito chips for $7.

6. National Deal: Nathan's Classic

On July 17, Nathan’s Famous is offering hot dogs for 5 cents, the original price of the hot dog when the first restaurant opened in 1916. The discount is available at participating locations across the country, and there is a limit of two hot dogs per order. Please call your local store for participation details.
