According to the NFL Network, Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss has been cut from the Minnesota Vikings after just four games with the team. Prior to taking a loss by his former team the New England Patriots, Moss praised his former coach and teammates, which left a sour taste in the mouth of Vikings ownership.
Brad Childress told the team in meeting they waived Moss as Moss did not go back with the team to Minnesota. The Vikings traded for Moss at the beginning of October, sending a third-round pick to New England in exchange for Moss and a seventh-round pick.
In four games with the Vikings, Moss caught 13 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
“It hurts as a player that you put a lot of hard work in all week, and toward the end of the week, Sunday, when you get on the field, that is when they acknowledge the hard work you have put in all week. So that is a disappointment,” Moss said.
Because this decision comes after the trade deadline, Moss will now hit the waiver wire. All 32 teams will have a chance to claim the receiver. Does Randy Moss deserve another chance with another team this NFL season? Let us know what you think….
