After starting the season with heavy expectations, then losing their first two games, (one to JMU), the Hokies of Va. Tech appear to have found their groove again after winning their 4th straight game on Saturday vs. Central Michigan.  Meanwhile, the Pirates of Hampton University visited N. C. Central for the first time in over a decade and came away with a huge win in Durham.  Not such a good day for the locals, Richmond was shut out 17-0 at New Hampshire and lost starting QB Aaron Corp to injury as well.  UVA had a semi-reunion with former Cavalier Coach Al Groh in Atlanta where Groh is a Georgia Tech assistant now.  Yellow Jackets roll to a 33-21 ACC win.  Norfolk State lost at S. C. State, and all three Virginia CIAA teams lost over the weekend, Saint Paul’s and Va. Union on the road, while Va. State fell at home to Fayetteville State 21-14.
