Whitney Houston Backed Out Of “What’s Love Got To Do With It”

The successful Tina Turner biopic “What’s Love got To Do With It” was a match made in heaven Laurence Fishburne playing Ike and Angela Bassett playing Tina but, Whitney Houston initially had the part.

Multiple A-list actresses wanted the role but Whitney was offered the role but declined after finding out she was pregnant. Eventually Angela got the role and went through rigorous physical training to look the fit part.
