$1000 Scholarship Available for Richmond Area Students
Students in the Richmond area have a chance to secure extra support for their education through the Knowledge Before College Scholarship, presented by Radio One Richmond, Ms. Community Clovia, and Project Giveback to Community.
The program is awarding $1000 to a rising or current college student who demonstrates a strong commitment to education, leadership, and service. Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years old, be a high school senior or currently enrolled in college, and reside in the Richmond metropolitan area. To be considered, students must submit proof of enrollment along with a 250 word essay explaining how they plan to use their education to make a positive impact in their community, while also highlighting qualities such as financial need, leadership, service, or perseverance. Applications are open now and must be submitted by April 24, 2026, giving students a valuable opportunity to invest in their future.
