ESPN Parts Ways With HOF Shannon Sharpe

Shannon Sharpe will not be returning to his ESPN job as an analyst on the popular show “First Take.” Sharpe, who made a significant impact at ESPN with his friend Stephen A. Smith, has been absent from the show since April after being accused of rape and sued by an ex-girlfriend.

Atty. Tony Buzbee announced in a post on X that a mutually agreed upon resolution has taken place in the $50 million lawsuit. Not soon after, ESPN announced that they were parting ways with the NFL Hall of Fame Shannon Sharpe.

Sharpe still has a very promising career with the success of his podcast. Only time will tell if that avenue takes a hit also.
