FIFA World Cup 26 volunteer center will be in Philly fashion district

Philadelphia is gearing up for an exciting 2026 summer, as the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection is set to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In preparation for such an enormous event, volunteers for the FIFA World Cup are looking to gather more help from kindred spirits across the city.

When is 2026 FIFA World Cup?

FIFA World Cup 26 will take place June and July 2026. This over-a-month-long tournament is anticipated to be the largest sporting event ever with three host countries and 16 host cities, including Philadelphia.

Where is the FIFA World Cup 26 Volunteer Center in Philly?

The Volunteer Center, which will be located at the Fashion District on 901 Market Street, will act as a training and recruitment location for volunteers.

“Fashion District Philadelphia’s selection as the site of Philadelphia Soccer 2026’s FIFA World Cup 26™ Volunteer Center represents a significant victory for our city,” said Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker. “The center will not only help power critical volunteer efforts supporting FIFA World Cup 26™ but also generate significant economic activity for our local businesses, restaurants, and hotels. We are proud to support this effort and the thousands of volunteers who will ensure that next summer’s tournament is a success.”

The Volunteer Center will be adjacent to the Pennsylvania Convention Center and within walking distance of over 6,000 hotel rooms. Public transportation is also easily accessible to the center’s location. 

Michelle Singer, Philadelphia Soccer 2026’s Board Co-Chair, views the fashion district as the most feasible places to attract voluteers who want to make a difference.

“The Fashion District is an ideal location for FIFA World Cup 26, to welcome and serve the thousands of volunteers who will make the games one of Philadelphia’s most successful events in history and a showcase for our city and region,” Singer, wrote in a statement. “There really is no better site to base our large volunteer effort and I am glad we were able to secure it.”
