Ciara Receives Dual Citizenship With West African Nation
Recently, many celebs have been finding other countries to call home including Eva Longoria, Ellen DeGeneres, Richard Gere, Courtney Love, Rosie O’Donnell and Gabriel Macht. Ciara recently made history by receiving dual citizenship in Benin while visiting the West African nation. Ciara received a certificate of citizenship by Beninese officials, making her one of the first celebrities to do so. Ciara joins a growing list of Black celebrities reclaiming ties to Africa through citizenship, including Idris Elba, Stevie Wonder and Tiffany Haddish.
