House Speaker Nancy Pelosi landed in Taiwan late Tuesday evening, in spite of magnified tensions between the U.S. and China and threats of military aggression from China.
Taiwan is an island of democracy and governs itself, but China claims it as its territory causing escalating tensions between the U.S. and China.
