The statue of Christopher Columbus in Richmond’s Byrd Park was torn down and thrown in the lake on Tuesday night as part of the frustration of protestors who want all racist monuments gone.
The protesters marched to the Robert E. Lee Monument before several groups returned and pulled it down with rope and then pushing it into the lake.
