Legacy Band is a local band based here in Richmond, Virginia. Composed of 8 amazing musicians, Legacy has been together since December of 2015. Performing all over the City of Richmond, Legacy’s sound is a combination of soul, R&B, Funk and Jazz all mixed into one. The band was formed by Musical Director and Guitarist Jose Pomier and Lead Vocalist Kaila Valdez. All musicians attended high school together and even playing around the city for many years. Starting with only 3 member’s legacy unplugged emerged into a bigger group called Legacy Band. Legacy Band brings forth a refreshing sound all while paying tribute to the greats. You can catch monthly shows here in the city including First Friday’s at Good Tymes Food and Wine Bar, Soulful Saturdays at 63Thirty5 Restaurant and Lounge, Monday Night Jazz at Grandstaff and Stein Booksellers, and Whiskey and Vibes at Brewer’s Café. This is only the beginning of an amazing journey that this local band will bring forth to the city. We are Legacy.
