Lawmakers from across the Commonwealth of Virginia introduced, killed and passed hundreds of pieces of legislation during the 2017 General Assembly Session.

As a result, Governor Terrence R. McAuliffe has signed hundreds of changes to Virginia’s laws that will go into effect on Saturday, July 1, 2017.  Changes to Virginia’s new laws include child care, transportation, medical marijuana, campus sex assault, social media, breastfeeding and commerce and trade, to name a few.
