Miss Community Clovia hosts a session during the Tom Joyner Morning Show twice a month at 8:11 a.m. called the ‘Real Deal From Capitol Hill’ with members in both House and Senate. Democrats and Republicans are invited to address concerns that American citizens may have on the replacement of the Affordable Care Act, immigration travel ban, funding for higher education, public safety, etc. Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA District-04) joins me today to discuss the Affordable Care Act replacement vote this Thursday on Capitol Hill. Congressman McEachin said that 20-24 million people will lose their healthcare if this ‘heartless’ bill passes this Thursday. Play audio here..

House GOP on Health Care Bill

Contrary to popular belief, every member in the United States Congress works for us. That’s right all 435 House members and 100 Senate members work for us. We need the best representation for our districts across America and if this is not happening they must be replaced come mid-term races in 2018 and the General election in 2020. Don’t sleep or you will weep.

At issues on Capitol Hill is the 216 Republican votes needed to repeal and replace Obamacare this Thursday. House Republicans are adding amendments to their plan. The changes are meant bait in conservative and moderate Republicans who are skeptical of the effort to replace the Affordable Care Act. A package of amendments released on Monday evening includes revisions giving states the option of requiring Medicaid recipients to find work if they are able. Also, there is a provision for senior citizens with generous tax breaks. To add, House Speaker Paul Ryan has an issue with the new ACA bill.
