Radio One Richmond and Miss Community Clovia are teaming up with the Richmond Police Department for the “33th Annual America’s Night Out Against Crime.” We will travel by caravan with Mayor Dwight C. Jones and Police Chief Alfred Durham  visiting several events across the City of Richmond. Remember, lights on means lights out for crime!

Richmond police officers will be out in full force attending dozens of community events, parties and barbecues. There will be events  at more than 80 area neighborhoods.

Mayor Dwight C. Jones and Chief Alfred Durham will lead a caravan across the city to visit several of these neighborhoods and join in the celebration.

“Our city is safer because of events like National Night Out,” Mayor Jones said. “When neighbors know neighbors, and know the officers patrolling their streets, it develops mutually beneficial partnerships that inevitably lead to reductions in crime.”
