I am proud to be an American and a Virginian. Virginia is definitely together for a man of faith, family, city, community, country and he is Timothy R. Kaine. Kaine is a former Richmond city councilman, former Richmond city mayor, former Virginia Lt. governor, Virginia governor, Virginia Senator and now Hillary Clinton’s running mate for Vice President (VPOTUS). By the way, Kaine has not lost an election since stepping into the political area over two decades ago.

My most memorable moments of Tim Kaine, I have thousands but will only discuss a few of them:

First, I wanted to host a gubernatorial forum where the community of voters would take the lead. I sent a request with guidelines for the Gubernatorial Community Forum where all questions were submitted from voters across Virginia and his campaign said “yes”. The ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc and Rolling For Freedom-R4F pulled it off. Miss Community’s first Gubernatorial Community Forum was held on the campus of VUU. Concerned Virginians packed Coburn Hall. Independent candidate for governor Russ Potts (I) participated but Jerry Kilgore declined the invitation.

Next, Governor Kaine wanted to expedite the restoration of rights process so former felons could register to vote in time for the November 2008 General election. My team, Rolling For Freedom-R4F held two voter drives a day for three months to ensure that paperwork was submitting for those felons seeking a restoration of rights grant order. During, his administration our team was name a ‘work-group’ on restoration of rights for ex-offenders.

Last, Tim Kaine was running for US Senate and I immediately reached out to his campaign and requested to host a Senatorial Community Forum with questions from Virginia voters. Kaine’s camp said yes. It was honored to have hosted a federal community forum with a candidate serving our United States Congress representing Virginia.

Hillary Clinton held a rally in Miami, Florida with her running mate last Saturday. Kaine speaks fluent Spanish. He sits on the Foreign Relations Committee.

Hillary Clinton, the likely, Democratic presidential nominee announced on Twitter Friday that Virginia Senator Tim Kaine will join her on the ticket. Clinton goes on to describe Virginia’s favorite Kaine as a man devoted to fighting for others. The 58-year-old hails from Kansas but has been a proud Virginian for more than 30 years. Clinton will accept her party’s presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia running July 25-July 28, 2016.
